A retrospective monographic exhibition - 6 May – 7 August 2022.

The essence of this monographic exhibition lies in the display of large-format pieces by Costa Lefkochir: paintings, sculptures and installations from 1987 to 2022. Many of the works in this collection, which will span 35 years of production, are unpublished, coming from private collections, institutions, companies and the artist’s studio, with others created specially for the exhibition, which will include more than one hundred works.

The exhibition route, which is not chronological, brings together major works that are symbolic of the path taken and travelled to create a visual language imbued with a fundamentally Humanist leaning. The exhibition as a whole conveys a permanence of perspective, thought and design in terms of creation, with no concept of evolution. Series of pictures or sculptures, old or recent individual pieces and installations express concerns and preoccupations that belong to their time, but which make up an indivisible whole.

This creative state is driven by a spirituality that seeks to find the greatest possible sense of harmony, as part of a highly personal and singular form of artistic expression. The entire process stems from a journey in which spirit and style mingle and merge to affirm essential values.

During the visit, the exhibition will freely encourage the participation of visitors, on a voluntary basis, to create a shared work.

An amply illustrated volume with analytical texts and input by the artist will retrace the journey in chronological order.
