AQUARELIEGE

AQUARELIEGE, INTERNATIONAL WATERCOLOR FESTIVAL OF LIEGE 2023

For its second edition, “Aquareliège” will take place from August 17 to 20, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Musée de la Boverie, in this magnificent setting represented by “La Verrière”. This year again, the Biennale will welcome no less than 114 watercolorists from around the world with 290 watercolors.

The selection was difficult for our members of the Jury in relation to the constantly growing number of applications and the level of quality of the works proposed.
In recent years, watercolor is no longer a "poor relation" of painting and can now compete with oil painting. Some artists are professional but most are amateurs who have acquired an undeniable level of mastery by taking courses or self-taught. Entrance to the Festival is completely free! It is our will, as organizers, to facilitate accessibility to any public who would like to discover or re-discover this magnificent medium.

All themes are represented, the portrait, animal art, landscape but also more and more abstract art.
Confirmed artists will offer introductory courses. You will be amazed to reveal the artist in you!

Register now via our Facebook account: www.facebook.com/Aquareliege/

See you in August!

Thierry Vandeputte and Jacques Blavier, Festival Organizers.
